But what exactly is the RSW Online application, and how did a mere system transform into a beacon of hope during the darkest hours, a light that has continued to shine for over two decades?
September 11, 2001
Our journey began in the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The RSW Online application was born out of the necessity to rebuild in the face of unprecedented loss: the Program, Budgeting, and Managerial Accounting Divisions of the Pentagon had lost 34 of their 40 employees in the wake of the catastrophe. It was a moment that demanded rebuilding nearly from the ground up. The Resource Services- Washington (RSW) Army Command created the RSW Online application as a critical part of their system rebuild- an application that eimagine has proudly supported for over two decades.
What is RSW Online?
RSW Online was a web-based program that covered Programming, Planning, and Budget Execution processes for Headquarters, Department of US Army. It allowed users and management the ability to upload Probe Data, review and process Requirements/UFRs, process the POM, perform Obligation Planning, process Funding Data, review and submit Commitments and Obligations, and view Reports to monitor all data entered. The strategic objective for the system was to enhance information technology and cybersecurity defense capabilities.
Since that fateful day, RSW has continued to rely on this online application, and eimagine has been a steadfast pillar of support throughout. This past March 2023, as a means to modernize, the RSW Online application was retired and functionality was migrated to another system that eimagine currently supports.

It stands as a testament to the strength of the RSW Online application, burn in the crucible of crisis, lasting for nearly 23 years, and remaining an integral system of the US Army. We take immense pride in supporting our armed forces, and as we mark September 11, 2023, we pause to reflect on their sacrifices and unwavering dedication.
