The City of Indianapolis government holds numerous responsibilities to ensure the effective administration and functioning of the city. THE CHALLENGE
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, as Federal Grant Funds became accessible for municipalities, the City of Indianapolis urgently needed to respond by comprehending the available funds and addressing constituent needs effectively.
THE SOLUTION / EFFORTS
In order to optimize the management of grant opportunities, including their alignment with available programs, the City collaborated with eimagine to develop an internal tool. The purpose of this tool was to empower City staff to efficiently input needs, oversee fund programs, and facilitate internal approvals for grant applications. The ultimate goal was to ensure the City effectively utilized the available funds and directed them towards the specific program requirements within the city.
eimagine utilized Microsoft PowerApps and Flow to create a tailored solution that streamlined the input of funding program details and collection of city program needs from end users. The Power App interface seamlessly integrated with the City of Indianapolis’ Microsoft Teams tool, providing convenient accessibility for internal staff. Additionally, eimagine configured a Power BI dashboard that provided valuable insights to city personnel, presenting requests and funding totals based on various demographics. This dashboard offered a comprehensive view of the data, enabling informed decision-making and enhancing the City’s grant management capabilities.
