MLTSS

THE CLIENT

The Indiana Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) is a government agency focused on improving health outcomes and access to long-term services for vulnerable populations across Indiana.

THE CHALLENGE

FSSA required a robust data infrastructure to support their transition to Managed Long-Term Services and Support (MLTSS). The agency needed tools for effective tracking, reporting, and automation to oversee Managed Care Entities (MCEs) and ensure accountability across health services. The absence of streamlined data processes created delays and inefficiencies, hindering FSSA’s ability to make timely and informed decisions.

THE SOLUTION / EFFORTS

eimagine developed a file submission/ingestion process between FSSA and Managed Care Entities (MCEs). MCEs are required to submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; the ingestion process logs errors, sends email notifications, and triggers processes to copy data to designated locations, where it is written into FSSA’s database. The data is then cleansed following the medallion layers framework and used to create report-specific dashboards, allowing FSSA stakeholders to easily interpret data and make informed decisions.

THE RESULTS

With eimagine’s data infrastructure, FSSA has transformed its approach to MLTSS oversight. Real-time dashboards, automated data processes, and integrated pipelines have streamlined operations, reduced manual intervention, and accelerated response times. These improvements provide FSSA with the insights needed to proactively manage MCE performance, supporting better health outcomes for Indiana’s most vulnerable populations.
