eimagine Founder and CEO

A Michigan native and longtime Indianapolis resident, Joel Russell founded eimagine more than 25 years ago with a vision to harness the power of technology and business to improve lives. With a passion for excellence and a deep-rooted background in technology, Joel continues to lead the company with a focus on transparency, collaboration, and a shared vision — principles that empower employees to grow personally, professionally, and make a positive impact in their communities.

Before founding eimagine, Joel gained experience in both the IT consulting industry and as an investment banker in New York City. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Stanford University.

eimagine’s guiding mission — “Technology Changes Lives” — became even more personal when Joel’s son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Witnessing firsthand how technology could improve and manage his son’s condition further fueled his commitment to developing innovative solutions that make a difference. Under Joel’s leadership, eimagine has contributed to critical initiatives such as reducing infant mortality rates in Indiana and expediting the process of getting qualified teachers into classrooms.

Outside the office, Joel is a devoted father of four. He gives back as a high school soccer coach and actively supports organizations including the Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and Cathedral High School. A passionate cyclist, Joel brings the same energy and drive to his personal pursuits as he does to leading eimagine.
