I believe first impressions do matter….especially in regards to an interview.

Making the right choices when deciding what to wear to an interview can give you a leg up or leave your interviewer with a less than positive impression of you.  My advice, always go with your most conservative, professional option for clothing.  A dark-colored conservative suit is always a home run.  I would much rather see an interviewee overdressed than dressed too casually.

What you wear tells the potential employer a lot about how serious you are about landing the job.  I know there are a lot of companies today who allow business casual as their dress code.  If you’re unsure about what to wear, you can always check with the person who scheduled your interview.  Most importantly wear something that makes you feel confident and at ease throughout the interview.
